Santa Fe College students who are accepted into the SF2UF program become SF2UF fellows for up to three years. During this time, the fellows are expected to complete their AA degree, transfer to UF, and progress toward graduation with a BS degree in a STEM major. Every semester, SF2UF fellows participate in intensive research with a UF faculty research mentor and complete SF2UF programs to enhance their academic preparation and research skills.
For all three years, SF2UF fellows receive a stipend of approximately $1,100 per month. In addition, for their first two years, fellows receive a scholarship for 60% of their tuition plus travel support to attend one scientific conference per year and to participate in summer research at another institution in the second year. In their senior year, fellows receive personalized guidance in the application and interview process for top graduate programs.
